Lutheran Social Services of Illinois Needs Our Help!

Current Budget Cuts in Illinois will bring significant harm to the most vulnerable among us–children in foster homes, the developmentally disabled, low income seniors, and those struggling with addiction and mental illness.

LSSI has already received written notification from several state agencies that their contracts with the State have been cancelled as of June 30, with more cancellations forthcoming–accounting for a 50-75% slash in their funding.

Your donations to LSSI are a testament to your belief in their mission: Responding to the Gospel to bring healing, justice, and wholeness to people and communities. LSSI needs your help now! Please contact your state senator and representative immediately. Your message can be simple: “I support tax reform to pay for vital State human care services.” For contact information, call the toll-free AARP hotline at 888-616-3322 and ask to be connected to your state senator or representative, or visit www.LutheranAdvocacy.org.

We are all brothers and sisters in Christ–those who cannot speak for themselves need our voice now. Help us continue to support this ministry.
