During the school year

JoyZone is offered for children from 3 years old through 5th grade with faith formation and a growth-focused program following the Narrative Lectionary. Each week will focus on a Bible story and lesson, music, crafts, and games in multi-aged small- and large-group formats. JoyZone is offered during the school year. Registration is not needed. Guests and friends are welcome to join any time! During the summer JoyZone does not meet. Click here to sign up to help with JoyZone (at the bottom of the form).

Pew Project

During the summer schedule children have the opportunity to take part in Pew Project activities after the children’s sermon during Sunday worship services. Children will gather in the Gathering area for a group lesson and focused activity during the adult sermon. The summer schedule is Memorial Day through Labor Day weekends. Registration is not needed.

 Vacation Bible School

During one week each summer, St. John’s is transformed into another world for children and friends of St. John’s! Children experience the love of Jesus through hands-on Bible lessons, science experiments, games, and songs following the theme for the week. Children, from 5 years through 5th grade, are arranged in small groups of six multi-aged children and two leaders to experience a fun, engaging week of growing in faith and connecting with other children and adults.

Stepping Stones

Stepping Stones is a Family Ministries program that recognizes critical faith development stages in a child’s life. It provides faith-based child and parent education from baptism to graduation through a series of stepping stones. At these critical stages we, as the body of Christ, come alongside parents to offer teaching, support, and encouragement.
