Prayer Requests
Prayer requests may be submitted by calling the church office, (309) 827-6121, by filling out a prayer request card at the Information counter, or by filling an electronic form.
For privacy reasons all prayers must be submitted by the person whose name will be used or by an immediate family member. Upon admittance to the hospital, please specifically mention an affiliation with St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church in Bloomington to avoid confusion with other local St. John's churches.
Please choose one of the following manners in which to share your prayer request:
Pastors' prayers—are shared only with the pastors.
Prayer chain—prayers are shared only with St. John’s Prayer Chain and our pastors.
Public prayers—are shared with the pastors, prayer chain, and Caregivers; listed in the St. John’s Weekly News; printed on the Prayer Focus flyer posted at the Information counter each week; and mentioned verbally during worship services.
