L.I.G.H.T. – Living In God’s House Together

LIGHT meets the Second Sunday of the month. This year we will have LIGHT FELLOWSHIP most months with a LIGHT Worship on special occasions.

LIGHT Fellowship is in the Senior High youth room from 6 -7 PM. It is a pizza and faith discussion led by a pastor. It is a great way to really learn about a bible story or passage or situation in relevant discussions with a pastor and other youth.

August 8: FELLOWSHIP in Sr High Youth Room
September 12: WORSHIP in PLC – Work Camp Sponsor Appreciation Dinner follows
October 10: FELLOWSHIP in Sr High Youth Room
November 14: FELLOWSHIP in Sr High Youth Room
December 12: WORSHIP – Advent

LIGHT Worship is creative, energetic, contemplative, Pastor led service with communion. This is worship for Youth led by Youth but is also for all members of the Church and their families.

This worship is created to teach the faith in ways that are relevant to a new generation and to involve the entire faith community into the planning of worship.  The youth of St. John’s Lutheran Church are fully involved in the planning of Sunday Worship.  They are the music ministers, lectors, ushers, greeters, and communion assistants. 

We are always looking for more singers and musicians to join the Youth Band.  We also need people involved in drama and theatre to help with the readings and scriptural dramas.  We also would love dancers to do liturgical dance.  So, whatever is your talent, given by God, please share it with us here at the LIGHT worship service.
