Registration Work Camp 2012!

Work Camp 2012 is already if full swing. We are registering YOUTH and ADULTS for our Work Camp mission trip to Birmingham, Alabama July 7-14, 2012. As of December 12th, we have 52 youth registered – 12 adults. If you are wanting to participate this year please don’t delay – we are almost FULL!!

Our next Work Camp Meeting is Sunday, February 12th at 11:45 AM – please note the time change. This is a REQUIRED MEETING! Please prioritize this meeting and make every effort to be there. Our meetings usually last one hour and we will be doing business, fellowship, and prayer.

What To Know for Work Camp 2012
• Destination is Birmingham, Alabama the week of July 7-14, 2012
• All work campers are asked to pay a deposit fee of $200 with their registration form and copy or insurance card
• No other money payments are required – the remaining $400 per person is raised through 4 Fundraisers and Sponsor Letters written by the youth
• There is scholarship money available – if interested, please contact Steve – all inquiries are confidential
• All work campers are asked to participate in all fundraisers and to write at least 12 Sponsor Letters to friends, family, or congregation members
• We are taking 55 youth and 12 adult leaders – there are spaces available
• Adult Leaders will receive special training to adequately prepare them for this mission trip. You do not need to be a master carpenter or painter to be an excellent and valued participant.

Registration Work Camp 2011!



The annual Work Camp 2011 is now completed. Thank you to all of our teens, adults and their families for an incredible experience of God’s Grace. Look below for information about Work Camp 2011 and please consider listening to God’s voice about next year’s Mission Trip.

The annual Work Camp Sponsor Appreciation Dinner is Sunday, September 11th at 7 PM. The site has been CHANGED from the PLC to the Fellowship Hall. All sponsors of this year’s Work Camp are invited to this dinner. Also, all families of the work campers are invited. Please come and enjoy a nice dinner, some personal testimonies about the teens and adults experiences and finally the Work Camp Video.

Work Camp 2011 is was a tremendous experience of service – faith – prayer – and fellowship! Our mission to Grand Rapids, Michigan brought us opportunities to serve some of the struggling families in that community. We painted, repaired porches and ramps, built handicapped ramps and fixed roofs. We lived in community and had wonderful devotions both morning and night. Ask any of the 66 youth and adults who went what their week was like.

Work Camp Registration has begun for Work Camp 2011. Please pay the $200 fee with your registration. This is the last payment you will need to make. Work Camp Information

Work Camp 2011 will be the week of July 10-16, 2011 at Grand Rapids, Michigan. This is an urban community and has been hit hard economically and will certainly benefit from an infusion of faith-filled teens who are welding paint brushes, hammers, and their bibles!

We will be taking 55 teens and 12 adults again this year! We need ADULT LEADERS to join us for Work Camp. Contact Steve if you have any questions or need more information email Steve Terry

Work Camp CHILI FEST! The Chili Fest is Sunday, January 30th in the Fellowship Hall. We are preparing the food on Saturday, January 29th from 3 to 5 PM in the kitchen outside of the parish life center. Work Camp 2010

Work Camp is now complete! The 2010 Work Camp group was one of the best ever to have gone on mission for St. John’s. This group was filled with the holy spirit and served the community of China Grove, North Carolina with great reverence and energy. Our adult leaders were incredible and a special THANKS to Cindy Musick for her wonderful directorship!
