Ramblings from Steve Aves
Steve Aves and his wife, Ruthanne, are dedicated volunteers in the senior high youth ministry program. They share of their faith and love of youth at CHAOS, Youth Ministry Board and various service and fellowship events yearly. Their enthusiasm for ministry and love of youth have contributed to real and authentic relationships at St. John’s for many years.
Each month Steve Aves is going to write a letter with his thoughts, musings, and ramblings about youth ministry, CHAOS, Extreme Faith, LIGHT or something else about youth and ministry. These letters are going to be sent out to interested adults in the Church and available here too.

St. John’s Senior High Youth Ministry Board is our student leadership group for our ministry and fellowship. This group is planning our Fall and Winter events for this year. Here are some of the scheduled events:
- August 11 – Clinton Lake Outing 3:30 to 8 PM for swim, fun, and food!
- August 20 – Normal Cornbelters Game 7 PM at the Corn Crib — FREE tickets available!
- September 18 – Fellowship Event To Be Announced later
- October 9/10 – Lock-In 8 PM to 8 AM in the new Sr. High Youth Room
- October 27 – Trunk or Treat Halloween event for kids 4:45 to 6:30 in parking lot
- November 3 – Rake ‘N Run Service Event from 4:45 until 8:30 with CHILI CHAOS after raking
- December 8 – Caroling Party at CHAOS 6:30 to 8:30 in Fellowship Hall
