FAITH 404 was
Sunday, April 22nd . If you missed this event, the PACKETS ARE STILL AVAILABLE so that you can do this at home! Please contact Steve if you would like packets.
Homeless Night for Habitat for Humanity is Sat/Sun May 12/13 at the Church. We are gathering on the east side of the Church. All youth are asked to bring your own cardboard. Also – this year you must bring a canned good to donate for every luxury item (such as blankets, pillows, sleeping bags). It could rain so plan on bringing something to help with being wet and cold! Get your permission slip here: Homeless Night Permission Slip 2012
Leadership Lab Summer 2012 This year’s Leadership Lab is July 30 – Aug. 4 at Augustana College. We will be taking TEN youth for this year’s Leadership Lab. This is an awesome week of learning leadership skills in small groups – making awesome friends with teens from 13 states – great relevant worship with a rocking Christian band from Las Vegas – incredible talks by awesome Pastors – and lots of fun! Sign up NOW by downloading these forms and contacting STEVE at stve@stjohnsbloomington.org.
WORK CAMP 2012! The next Work Camp meeting is Sunday, May 20th at 11:45 in the PLC. This is a Mandatory Meeting. Past Events Updates!
The EASTER EGG HUNT was on Saturday, March 31st starting at 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM in the Fellowship Hall of the Church. We had lots of teens and a number of adults helping with this year’s event. The weather was perfect which helped bring out about 90 children and their parents and grandparents. Our Easter Bunny was awesome as she welcomed children for photos and helped hide over 1000 eggs for the children. Games and activities were available in the FH including face painting, coloring, pin the tail on the bunny, bunny bowling, bunny buckets and Hot Easter Egg. Go here to see many of the photos of the event: Easter Egg Hunt 2012 Photos To go the the gallery of this year’s photos, sign in with easteregghunt@yahoo.com and password: easter. Then go to My Gallery and click on this year’s photos. Kirk Fagerland took over 155 photos of kids on the lap of the Easter Bunny and kids finding eggs.
The POLAR PLUNGE 2012 was a huge success! St. John’s senior high youth were again this year a large part of the local Polar Plunge raising money for Special Olympics. 10 teens and Steve Terry raised over $1800 and then donned pink tutus as they jumped into 38 degree water on a sunny and windy Saturday afternoon. The temperature was a frigid 11 degrees wind chill. The Plungers were: Jackie Schell, Dashiell Koester, Jane Moore, Kaydee Parker, Joe Sutton, Taylor Barron, Ian Stanley, Ryan White, Rikka Skillrud, Chris Collins-Terry and Steve Terry.

Stories to consider…
The Ragman – A story about Jesus’ choice to take on our sins.
Dandelions – A story about how to deal with conflicts.
Lessons From Geese – A story about leadership and community.
I Would Pick More Daisies – A story about how to live your life without regret.

I am a 21 year old junior in college and have just recently started attending worship again on Sundays regularly. I was wondering if any of the senior high activities such as mission trips, work camps,LIGHT worship, etc. would be available for me to start getting involved in or if there is something else more fitting for my age group?
