**NOTE CHANGE** The Work Camp Meeting for February is changing from Feb. 14th to Sunday, February 21st at 7 PM in the PLC. Please mark this down on your calendar! This is due to the Youth Ministry Ski Trip. All Work Campers are expected to make every meeting!

The Work Camp Mission 2010 has TWO spots left – If you know someone who might want to change their life through helping others, then let me know. Get your form in ASAP because once full a waiting list will be formed. We usually have a couple of youth who can’t go and spots will open up.

SPECIAL EVENTS:

St  Johns Lutheran WORKCAMP 2010 slvWork Camp’s Garage Sale is coming fast! Drop your donations off to the Church on Friday, March 5th! The Garage Sale is Saturday, March 6th, from 8 AM to 1 PM in the Parish Life Center.
ALL WORKCAMPERS are asked to help with this big fundraiser by working BOTH Friday and Saturday as much as you can.

winterjam 2010The next Winter Jam Christian Concert is Saturday, March 27th at the ISU Redbird Arena! We will meet at the Arena an hour before the concert and go in together. Tickets are $10 and will be purchased at the door. A PERMISSION SLIP is required! chili festWork Camp’s CHILI FEST was a big success! We raised over $1400 and provided a wonderful Fellowship event for the Church. Thank you to our coordinators: Bob & Rhonda Abeling, the Wudtke’s, the Klante’s and the Sampsons for all of their tireless efforts to make this a rousing success. 48 work campers worked at this event – which is an incredible testimony to your commitment to our Mission. Thank you and God Bless! *

IMPORTANT EVENTS:

  • Wednesday Night, November 4, from 5 to 6:30 PM: Rake N Run Service Eventwe will be raking the leaves of parishioners of our Church. We will meet in the Church at 4:45 to organize and drive to our sites. We NEED DRIVERS!
  • Saturday Night, November 7, from 5 to 8:30 PM: BONFIRE and COOKOUT at Moraine View State Park A night for fun and fellowship!
