Camp45
June 2010

Departure and Arrival Times
Construction on I39 may slow down our transportation schedule so make double-sure that you arrive on Friday at 6:00pm for departure. For arrival back on Sunday you can get updates using our new SPOT GPS Tracker (see below).  We are not eating dinner on Friday at camp, so make sure you get a good meal before coming to church!
Departure:  Friday, June 11 at 6:00pm  (please be On-Time)
Arrival:  Sunday, June 13 at 3:30pm
We will leave and arrive back in the Fellowship Hall (side) parking lot.

NEW!  Join Our Journey Via GPS
We've added a very cool device that will be primarily used for safety purposes during our Cave Camp - the SPOT GPS.  The device allows us to contact emergency help where cell phones do not work.  They also allow you to join us in our journey.  From time to time we'll turn on the device's tracking feature so you can see exactly where we are.  Special messages will be posted on the SPOT site when we arrive at LOMC on Friday and when we are about 1 hour from returning home.  For security purposes there is a password (please see the email sent or contact Rob).  Please note this is the first time we are using the device and you know how new technology goes - there may be "bugs."

Mail For Your Camper
Campers love mail.  Unfortunately because Camp45 is a weekend trip actual mail service is not possible.  BUT!  Drop off notes and letters by Wednesday, June 9 to Rob in the church office and we'll bring it along and "deliver" it Saturday afternoon to your camper.  Please do not send food or candy!  Letters and notes are best.  Please don't plan on handing mail to Rob on Friday as there is usually an 80% chance the mail will be misplaced, forgotten, ate by dogs, carried away by mosquitoes, stolen by elves or worse.  Do Rob a big favor by allowing him to pack all mail up together BEFORE Friday.

Packing Reminder
It is easy to forget insect repellent, sleeping bag, pillows, Bibles and anything else on the list.  Make sure you double-check your packing and kids do much better with less bags and lighter the better (but don't forget anything).  Kids will most likely need jackets or sweatshirts mornings and evenings.
