Discover Your Spiritual Gifts—October 24!

I once heard a memorable joke about Lutherans: “the average Lutheran has a guilty conscience (from not volunteering enough at church), and is totally exhausted (from volunteering too much at church).” It made me laugh and wince at the same time!

If we’re honest, a lot of us fall into one or both of those camps. We want to volunteer and serve the church more—but we struggle to find the time and energy. Or we volunteer to serve the church but find the church’s need doesn’t necessarily fit our passion—and our service feels like dull, unrewarding scutwork.

There’s a better way. The Bible tells us that God has given us all ‘spiritual gifts’—unique gifts of our personality, skills, and experiences. When you discover your spiritual gifts and find the unique ministry that God has created and prepared you for, you won’t struggle with those problems any more.
