Genesis is not meeting Sunday, November 30 for Thanksgiving Break. Don’t forget worship services are still on so come worship as a family this coming weekend!

Ten 6-8th graders, one senior high youth leader and Mrs. Barkoviak and myself has a terrific time at LOMC this past weekend (Nov. 14-16) on our retreat with Peder Eide!
We laughed, sang, shouted, ate lots of food, prayed, wrote letters about our future, tried to stay warm, sang a lot more, heard many great stories from Peder, shared a pizza (or three!) at Alfano’s in Oregon, IL, and enjoyed closing worship on Sunday morning. We had an awesome time being in God’s presence and we encourage you to consider going with us on a retreat or camp in the future.
Pictures will be coming soon as soon as I get time to sort through them all (there’s a lot!).

A few pictures from our Wednesday night DinnerTime program on November 5, 2009. We enjoyed a great Mexican Fiesta meal (our theme for the evening) led by our Dinner Dean (and Thrive Guide) John Cardamone! After dinner we challenged each other to a Mexican Jumping Bean (musical) Chairs contest! DinnerTime is open to all ages (children, youth and adult) and meets on the first 3 Weds. of each month (Sep. to May).

Join us again on November 14-16, 2008 for another great trip. 
It was an awesome trip in 2007 with Peder Eide as retreat leader! We had a truly “deep” and ”inspiring” time away! Don’t miss out this fall. Registration will take place in August/September.
