Primetimers
Prime Timers is a group of people age 55 and greater who meet six times during the year to socialize with church friends and to meet some new friends. Activities are varied and volunteers sign up as a committee to organize an event during a two-month period of the year. In the past, some activities have included: pizza/game nights at the church, card/game parties at various homes, concerts in the park, miniature golf, picnics and of course, our favorite ‘eating’ events.
The coordinators for 2012 are Sandy and Bob Baumgartner and Bev and Don Peterson. Please let them know if you wish to join a committee to help organize one event during the year.

Quilters
1st & 3rd Tuesdays, 9:15 AM, Fellowship Hall
Your help is needed to continue this important ministry at St. John’s!
1. Donate your time and help tie (if you can tie a knot, you can tie a quilt) or pin the edges. Quilters meet the second and fourth Tuesday morning in the Fellowship Hall. Come anytime between 9:30 and 11:30 AM–watch for dates in the Weekly News.
2. Donate your time at home to zigzag the pinned edges of the quilts or cut donated material in different block sizes or sew the blocks together to make a quilt top or sew panels together to make backs. If you have used a sewing machine or rotary cutter, we can use your help.
3. Donate cotton material, at least ½ yard or larger for tops and 2 ½ yards for backs (please, no holiday fabric) or donate used bed sheets (clean and in good condition, no twin sizes please, flat sheets preferred), especially flannel sheets for the liners.
Fellowship with us! St. John’s Quilters also enjoy going to lunch together twice a year–we take St. John’s bus in May and December enjoy traveling to a restaurant or tea room in the local central Illinois area.
For questions about this ministry, and to help, contact Linda Click at (309) 663-2536.
