Dr. Michelle Vought has earned an excellent international reputation as a performer in the concert hall and on the operatic stage. Dr. Vought has traveled as a recording artist/recitalist at the international level performing abroad in Slovakia, Austria, Ireland, Italy, and Canada.
A specialist in contemporary music, she made recordings for Vienna Modern Masters, an international recording company that exclusively features contemporary music.
Especially recognized for her versatile programming and charismatic performances, Dr. Vought recently presented her unique and delightful one-woman show, Madame Monsieur, in many locations.
Currently Professor of Voice at Illinois State University, Vought graduated from Gettysburg College (BS) and Converse College (MM) and received her doctorate from the Conservatory of Music at the University of Cincinnati.
